We spent St George’s Day with the Altside District Scouts. There were so many Beavers, Cubs and Explorers having fun in the PhotoBooth. Everyone got involved and dressed up with some funny hats and glasses, and even a few wigs. One of the Beavers set what was surely a world record with seven hats in one photo!!! Even the leaders got involved and everyone got their own print to take home and show their family and friends.
But it wasn’t just the Scouts who got involved with the PhotoBooth fun. We were lucky enough to be in the same hall as Exoteach who brought along some of their animal friends. The guys challenged us to hold a tarantula and just look at the python that got in for a cheeky photograph!!! He got even cheekier though, when he went back outside and decided to wee on the PhotoBooth. Luckily, we had some experience from our own Scouting days and remembered the motto “Be Prepared” so we had some cloths and towels to wipe everything clean. Some of the Cubs helped too which was great.
All around it was a fantastic day of fun. We must say a big thank you to the Scouts for letting us join in their St George’s Day celebrations.
